Serena Sinniah

Experienced therapist and clinical psychologist

Psychological health is an important part of our wellbeing. That’s why I create a space that is safe for my clients to work through various issues that stand in the way of their happiness.

My psychotherapy practice is geared towards helping individuals develop self-awareness to live meaningfully.

My practice of psychotherapy draws from more than 15 years of experience working with clients in the U.S. and Malaysia. I have engaged with clients in various settings including a residential treatment facility, hospital pediatric and psychiatric departments, and university mental health centers. The work I have done includes dealing with a range of issues from stress, relationships and parenting to mood, anxiety, grief and other clinical disorders.

Apart from individual psychotherapy, I am experienced in conducting group therapy and training sessions as well as talks and workshops.

Over the years of working in this field, I have grown increasingly passionate about empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to heal and to build resilience in a way that allows them to effectively address challenges in life.

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
― Rumi

My approach to treatment is to address matters of concern while aiming to equip and empower clients to accomplish more than symptomatic relief. With greater self-awareness, clients will be able to meet future challenges with confidence. I aim to conduct sessions based on close collaboration with clients who are willing to commit to the process and journey of psychotherapy.

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
― Leo Tolstoy
